Madge is a Partner at Jack Hammer, working closely with Board level clients and candidates.
She originally trained as a reporter in the Business Information sector.
After 6 years she moved to London where she spent 3 years in the television industry in a communications capacity before returning to the financial arena by joining Henderson Global Investors. At HGI, she worked in the company’s Venture Capital division and was involved in the launch of technology businesses from incubator stage.
Subsequent to 9/11 and the crash of the technology sector, Gibson transferred her skills across to Private Equity, where she undertook a role as operations manager for a corporate finance boutique focused on the technology, travel and recruitment industries.
Her successes in this sector in the UK lead her to relocate back to South Africa to set up an executive search division for her one of her UK clients, before joining Jack Hammer Executive Headhunters.
Madge studied Business Management at the University of Stellenbosch, and holds additional qualifications in Marketing and Photographic Art. She has recently re-kindled her love of photography, and is building a spectacular portfolio in her limited spare time!
