Christina is a Masters graduate from UCT where she focused on the experiences of Black African managers in the corporate environment and how they negotiate the challenges involved with working in a large financial corporation in South Africa. Her previous research focused on Employment Equity implementation at large corporations.
Christina has qualifications in Psychology, Human Resource Management as well as Industrial Sociology and Labour Law. She worked as a researcher at the Centre for Social Science Research at UCT and has presented at several conferences both in SA and abroad on the issues surrounding Affirmative Action and Employment Equity.
She joined Jack Hammer as a Research Associate, and quickly climbed the ranks, making the transition to Executive Consultant in record time.
Unsurprising, considering that Christina is an avid rock climber and spends most weekends climbing peaks in the Western Cape and further afield, including Namibia, Malawi, and Zimbabwe. When she is not climbing locally her passion takes her to more exotic locations such as Patagonia in Argentina where she climbed several alpine peaks including Mount Tronador (3491m) and Cerro Principal (2409m) in the Catedral Range. Recently her passion has shifted to skiing and ski mountaineering, taking her to Switzerland and Chamonix in France where she skied the Valle Blanche.
Next stop: Deep water solo climbing in Thailand!
