Debbie is the founder and CEO of Jack Hammer.
What drives her is an interest and investment in finding and developing great leaders for companies doing great work.
For more than 20 years she has done just that – building a team of impassioned professionals within Jack Hammer, and in sourcing leaders for organisations throughout Africa.
Debbie’s latest start-up business is Virtual Coaching Partners, a unique digital platform that connects people who are in career transition with world class career coaches.
She has recently published her first book, “IntheFlow – Taking Mindfulness to Work”, which was listed in the ‘Top 10 Best’ South African business books; and she delivers keynotes and workshops on a range of topics, internationally.
Debbie’s unique style and vision may come from her somewhat unconventional background: In her ‘first’ career, she was an award-winning contemporary dancer and choreographer…whilst completing her law degree!
She is a founding member of the Cape Town Chapter of EO, a global entrepreneurship organization of more than 12 000 members, and she currently serves on EO’s Global Leadership Development Committee.
“Leadership provides daily opportunity for creative endeavour. I love being immersed in the ‘business’ of leadership, where mastery requires rigour and passion, and the demands for excellence are relentless. Almost as tough as being a dancer”.
